Enviornment Scenes

I am still working on the pre-production work for the Bellerophon story. I've creating three enviornment scenes for the scene in which Bellerophon and Pegusas travel to Chimera's lair.

These three images show three different views of the mysterious foggy cave. I used different color schemes for each just to experiment with the mood of the cave. Is Chimera an evil creature, or a misunderstood animal defending it's home?

Penni Corpse

Penni Corpse was a "Happy Accident" sketch that really grew on me. I decided to take the sketch a bit further by modeling and animating her in Maya.

This is the side view reference drawing of the Penni Corpse bust.

Here is the front view reference drawing for Maya.

I wanted to give her a mysterious, and subtle creepiness while at the same time, she's actually rather beautiful. The headphones and Ipod lodged in her head and chest is a symbol of my love for music.

This is my first attempt to animate and lip sync my own character to a song! Penni Corpse is singing "Why Don't You Do Right?", which is the song that Jessica Rabbit sang in Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

Character Sketches

These character turn-arounds were inspired by the Greek mythology about a man named Bellerophon who defeated the terrible Chimera with the help of Pegasus. All characters were inked and painted in Photoshop CS4 by yours truly!
